Introduction

The MSP430 One Day Workshop is a quick introduction to MSP430 basics including:

  • Low Power Techniques
  • Use of the Timers
  • Use of the A to D Converter
  • Use of the Serial Communications Ports

You can download and view each module separately. Each one includes presentation material as well as instructions for the labs. We will be adding a recorded presentation of the material in the near future.

Running The Labs

In order to run the labs, you will need:

  • A Windows XP PC
  • Adobe Reader [1]
  • A MSP-FET430UIF emulation interface available for $99US [2]
  • A MSP430FG4618 Experimenter Board available for $99US [3]
  • Either IAR Kickstart [4] or Code Composer Studio 4.1
  • The lab files, to be installed in C:/MSP430ODW. Labs zip file
